NHC - Nouvel Hôpital Civil

The Interventional Imaging Unit of the Strasbourg University Hospitals brings together different types of specialties: visceral and osteoarticular interventional imaging.

Procedures performed may be for diagnostic or therapeutic. They are performed under local anesthesia, sedation or general anesthesia depending on various factors (type and duration of the procedure, size of the lesion to be treated, location, general condition of the patient).

In all cases, the approach is minimally invasive - an alternative to surgical treatments.

The imaging techniques used to perform these various procedures are X-ray (Scanner, Planar Sensor guidance), electromagnetic waves (MRI), gamma radiation (PET-CT) or ultrasound (ultrasound). The choice of the technique by the radiologist depends on the pathology and the organ to be explored or treated.
